Use your own font file in a browser editor
Add a .ttf, .otf, .woff or .woff2 file and it works like any other font, travels inside the design, and is never sent anywhere. What happens to installed fonts, the licence question, and how to make it the brand font.

Steps
- Select a text layer, or press T and click to make one.
- Open Window, Character. Click Add a font file from this device and choose the file. Add each weight you need (Regular, Bold) as its own file if the family comes as separate files.
- Pick the font in the Character panel. It appears in the font list for every text layer in this design.
- To have it in every new design, add it to a design and choose File, Save as template. Designs started from the template carry the font. (The brand kit's font list offers the 16 built-in fonts only.)
Where to find the file

Licences
Fonts are licensed software. A desktop licence covers using the font to make designs and exporting images and PDFs. Because the font file is stored inside the design, sharing the .void file shares the font, which many licences do not allow. Deliver exported files to clients, and check the licence before handing over an editable file. Google Fonts and other open-licence fonts have no such restriction.
Why can't I see the fonts installed on my computer?
Browsers do not give web pages a list of installed fonts, for privacy reasons. Add the font file once and it is in the design from then on.
Is my font file uploaded?
No. It is read on your device and stored inside the design in the browser or in your .void file. It is never requested from Google or sent anywhere.
